Since I'm the only Nativer in my Ulpan class, and because my Ulpan class does not meet on Tuesdays, I got to spend the first half of today with my lovely sister, Michal. With only a small amount of confusion, I managed my way to our meeting spot via the Eged bus system. I just might have called Michal thinking I was lost, only to realize 10 minutes later that our meeting spot was right in front of my face.
Anyway, I found her and the day continued. First, Michal and I went on a mini-hike in a place called Lifta. Our purpose was to play around with our cameras and the beautiful scenery. Here are some exemplary photos:
Look how perfect the sun is!
I found this flag amidst the crap in an abandoned stone building.
Then, on the way home I missed my bus stop because the bus was too crowded and I couldn't get to the door fast enough. And then, at the next stop, I tried to use the front door but the driver wouldn't let me. So I turned around to reach the back door, and the driver started driving. So THEN, I waited for the next stop. To make a long story short, I had a 25 minute walk home. As opposed to a 2 minute walk, had I avoided all this trouble.
Hopefully less bus trouble tomorrow.
Sincerely Sophie
Can't tell you how thrilled I am that you:
1- made plans with Michal again
2- figured out how to meet up using the bus
3- managed to get home even given all the bus tsoris you experienced (what a mean driver-a raspberry for him)-you've come a long way baby!
4- continued to provide us with amazing pics (the crumbled flag looks so sad+loved the angle/shapes/colors on the last photo
P.S. Language, dear, language!
